Bengaluru Shopping Centers Embrace the Idea of Pet-Friendly Public Areas

Pet owners in Bengaluru  are advocating for more pet-friendly public spaces, including shopping malls. Vega City Mall in Bannerghatta road has already welcomed pets and even provides pet trolleys for customers. Other malls, such as Brigade Group and Forum mall are also considering allowing pets from June 2023. Ajith Khemka, manager of Vega city mall shares that the positive response from our customers is tremendous as there are 200-300 pet owners walking with their pet on a monthly basis.

In a recent shopping center 2023 Vice-president of Forum Mall said that “progressive mall developers should contemplate the creation of pet-friendly spaces to nurture a loyal customer among pet parents.” Mall owners recognize the importance of catering to changing consumer preferences and believe that welcoming pets will enhance the shopping experience and attract more pet parents. Pet owners in the city believe that allowing pets in malls reflects the changing lifestyle choices of customers.
