Person, Dog Airlifted From Floods

“Person and dog rescued safely via helicopter amidst Los Angeles floods.”

A man in Los Angeles jumped into raging floods to save his pet and was rescued by the fire fighters by a helicopter. Dog swam safely to the shore.

Fire chief Kristin Crowley said that Los Angeles has witnessed one of the wettest storms in history for 2 days. A video on social media showed that a man is being rescued by the rescuer by lowering the helicopter into the rapids of pacoima wash  in the San Fernando valley that feeds the Los Angeles river. His canine was able to swim to the shore and he was treated in the nearby local hospital. Crowley said that this is the reason we suggest people stay safe away from the LA River and other water areas.
