Arjuna – Canine hero from narcotic’s detection wing Karnataka

Arjuna a Labrador from mysore city will represent karnataka at all India Police meet which is going to be held on feb 12-13. Arjuna has a history of having a gold-medal two years ago at state level police meet. 

Arjuna joined the police department as a puppy as the department lost one of his dog squad. Seema Latkar superintendent of police said that their dogs play a vital role during inspection and VVIP’s arrival, search of explosion and sanitisation.

District police have 6 trained dogs three of them are for explosives, two for general crime detection and one for narcotics. Labrador has joined the basic training to join the squad, District police has 14 dog handlers. Arjuna and Krishna have bagged gold and bronze medals regarding explosive detection. Mysore police have 10 dogs, four for crime detection, four for explosive detection and two for training narcotics.

Dogs, not only your loyal companion, now serve as your protectors. Arjuna is a Labrador now representing the state in police meets and with very good awards in the past.
