Every day, he provides meals for 300 dogs, dedicating his life to the welfare of these helpless animals. Bafna affirms that it only costs Rs 15 to feed a dog for a day.
Vikash Bafna is married and has a six month old daughter he loves his daughter and the 18 dogs in frazer town. he says that the measure of my success is the number of rescues. Friend for animal trust is his trust that saves animals from various rescues and transfers them through his maruti van which is his mode of transport.
The obsession of rescue started four years ago for bafna. His first rescue was a husky dog, when bafna was in banaswadi he saw 4 boys throwing stones at the dog then he educated boys and gave them some chocolates saying that animals should not be harmed. The dog was injured and had a visible tumor in its head, and brought the husky dog home. Bafna says he speaks to all of his dogs and feeds the dogs with his own hands.
Bafna had a dog named Gunda who was very possessive regarding bafna as it could not like feeding any other dogs closely it could bark so loudly. bafna rescues dogs, cats, snakes and birds. Dogs were his favorite and snakes are little danger, on a specific day once bafna was feeding his dogs random dog started barking loudly and then of a sudden bafna turned on his torch and saw a poisonous reptile was coming towards him, dog was informing about his danger later, bafna leaved te reptile into forest which could not harm anyone. Bafna says that the important thing in rescue is location and video, he received many of the videos about the rescue of dogs so he forwards all the news to a vet vehicle or his assistant for immediate rescue.
After rescuing the pups he immediately follows up with the doctor and if possible will return it to their location. Sometimes bafna will be dealing with human cruelty as he said once 4 people tied 6 puppies in a gunny bag and thrown into the drainage, bafna jumped into drainage and rescued the puppies. He credits Animal birth control and BBMP as once a dog is neutered this helps in any incident and more. He feeds 300 dogs a day and devoted his entire life for the good of animals. His wife is totally opposite as she does not love animals as his sixth months daughter will play with dogs and sleep with dogs. He actively seeks small donations from nearby animal loving communities and says it takes 15 rupees to feed a dog. One person should feed one dog once in a dog and spread love and positivity towards animals
