Dog Communication: How Do Puppies Show Emotions?

The researchers wanted to know whether puppies are naturally expressive or become more expressive as they grow older.

Comfort is the focus of a Study

One of the most unique aspects of this research is that puppies won’t need to visit a laboratory. Instead, owners will just be asked to make one-minute videos of their puppies in natural situations, following instructions from the research team.

Working in their own home environment gets the behaviour that is natural, which means no unnecessary stress. The University of Portsmouth has also accepted the study’s ethical approval, and any videos submitted will be used responsibly and securely.
