The first origin of the Puggle was accidental; however, what a lovely coincidence it was! It took place back in the 1980s or 1990s, and since then, the Puggle has become most famous because of its sweet, loving personalities and adorable, compact faces. One of these crossbreed appeals is that the Beagle has a longer snout; puggles are born with longer noses than their parent Pug and can be less likely to have the respiration problems that the Pug breed frequently suffers. So, for people who love the boundless strength of the Beagle and can’t resist that lovely puggish face, the Puggle can be simply the pup you’re looking for.

Puggles are complete sweethearts that fit into many family dynamics and lifestyles. They are playful dogs; however, they also don’t mind a relaxed cuddle consultation on the couch. They love human beings and are a strong desire for households with kids. They also usually get along well with different pets in the home. They may be vocal, so be aware when you have friends nearby. They may be diggers and will need supervision when exploring a fenced yard. Puggles generally tend to wander if left unattended (the ones Beagle genes displaying up!), so constantly keep a watchful eye and have them tied on a leash when out on walks. The Beagle is a scent hound, and the Pug is in the Mastiff family, so Puggles have a few strong personalities in their background. They have a tendency to be stubborn, so training could probably be a challenging process; however, with a few brilliant treats and patience, you may get the task done!
Puggles are very energetic puppies and could require your dedication to daily workouts to preserve them from turning bored. They want a minimum of 30 minutes of healthy activity a day, if not more, depending on the needs of the individual canine. Exercise consist of walks supervised playtime in the yard, a trip to the canine park, or training games. Be conscious while exercising your Puggle in hot weather, as they may be susceptible to the heat. Puggles have a short fur coat, but they shed and hence require brushing to maintain excess fur under control. Some Puggles have extra wrinkles than others, so make sure to clean under skin folds to keep away from dirt build-up. After bathing, dry your Puggle well, particularly under skin folds, so that moisture does not linger. Otherwise, simply bathe, trim nails, clean ears, and brush teeth as needed to keep your canine clean, comfortable, and healthy!
