TOKYO: Toco, a Japanese man who gained global attention for spending $14,000 (over ₹12 lakh) on a hyper-realistic Border Collie costume, has now launched TokoTokoZoo — a unique attraction where visitors can experience life as animals.

Toco, popularly known as the “human collie,” opened the specialized zoo in Tokyo to help others fulfill their fantasy of living as animals. According to The Mirror, the zoo offers sessions where people can wear hyper-realistic dog costumes and experience life from a canine’s perspective.

The zoo’s official website asks:
“Have you ever wanted to be an animal? Have you ever imagined yourself as something other than yourself and felt excited? Our service allows you to make that dream a reality, even if only for a short time.”

Currently, TokoTokoZoo offers only Alaskan Malamute costumes, resembling the large dog breed similar to Huskies. However, they plan to introduce hyper-realistic Panda costumes soon. Cat and fox costumes are not available, as they are considered too small to fit human participants.

Experience Packages & Pricing

Visitors can choose from different experience packages:

180-minute session: ¥49,000 (approx. ₹28,275)
120-minute session: ¥36,000 (approx. ₹20,773)

Group bookings offer discounts:

Two-person package: ¥30,000 (approx. ₹17,311) per person
Three-person package: ¥20,000 (approx. ₹11,541) per person

Participants can also request custom fittings before their sessions. The zoo is open to both Japanese and English-speaking visitors, making it accessible to international guests.
