Kaveri said that the loss of Sophie was a big loss and at a stage I found the meaning of helping disabled dogs and rescuing dogs. Until Sophie was alive Kaveri used to rescue dogs as a part time job. Once Sophie passed away Kaveri co-founded the trust with her husband Yashraj Bharadwaj. This was the first animal shelter opened in Greater Noida.

After all the rescues and trusts she was named as the Dog mother of Noida and she spends most her time rescuing the dogs, treating all the dogs as babies. Kaver lives with 12 puppies in her living area and says the job I do is totally unpredictable and my cycle goes on . Kaveri says that her husband is one of the greatest support as he is a freelance digital marketing professional who works for the trust, driving ambulances and taking part in many rescues.

Treatment of disabled dogs –

When the spine of a dog is damaged it should be taken special care with medicines and human approach. Whenever a rescue happens kaveri and bharadwaj take a call based upon the condition of the dog whether to join the hospital or can be normalized easily. Canine and Feline Critical Care Unit helps them in tha part of medictin and other needs. If the surgery costs a higher amount then the couple opt for donations and some of the treatments money goes from their pocket itself. By campaigning at Milaap and funda the couple constructed a home for 120+ dogs and can have the capacity of 500 dogs in Noida. The Sanctuary has a Canine Paralysis and Rehabilitation unit.

Sanctuary was built with top tiles and required equipment. Many of the disabled dogs which are injured in lockdown are in the sanctuary, which contains both  raw and constructed areas for their convenience. Apart from rescue this couple runs sterilization camps and mass vaccination drives by nearby villages.

The team consists of 10 permanent members, supplemented by occasional volunteers. Unfortunately, the pandemic caused a decline in volunteer availability. Additionally, rumors linking dogs to the transmission of the novel coronavirus hampered adoption rates. However, the situation took a positive turn when Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the importance of adopting stray animals during his Mann ki Baat program.
