Bengaluru Resident Sacrifices Lucrative Career to Devote Himself to Caring for Hundreds of Stray Dogs

India is well known for stray dogs and their shelter. There are many of the dogs that suffer from their food, shelter and accidents. 

An 31 year animal lover from bengaluru left his job and started animal rescue and decided to do something for the dogs. Sajesh S was working as a branding consultant quit his job and became the voice of stray dogs by rescues and saving them from accidents. In 2017 Sajesh took an ambulance for the injured dogs and took them to shelters. Sajesh first saved a black puppy which was badly injured by acid, as everyone refused to admit the puppy for medication. 

This incident made him realize about the pet accidents happening around the city. So Sajesh started his own rehabilitation center to take care of the dogs which was named Animal Live Are Important (ALAI) in September 2017. This has grown bigger and now takes care of 300 dogs and many other animals. All the medications, vaccinations will be done on time in ALMI, This team works with 18 volunteers who perform rescue operations. After letting them know about the rescue operations from social media, the team reaches the location and catches the dogs. Team includes doctors, expert dog catchers, caretakers and ambulance services.
