Pawsome Day Out for Pups in Pune

Does your morning routine include going for a walk, getting your daily exercise, and socializing? Well, now your furry friend can join in too. The newly opened dog park in Pimple Saudagar offers all this and more. Established by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) on a trial basis, this state-of-the-art park provides a safe and controlled environment for dogs to run, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors.

Featuring agility tools, a drinking water area, CCTV cameras, an amphitheater, a stage for organizing events like birthdays, and a spacious lawn with separate sections for different types of dogs, the park has garnered praise from the local pet-owning community. During our recent visit, pet owners shared their positive experiences.

Vijay Tiwari, a software engineer and pet parent, expresses his satisfaction: “The park facilities are excellent. There are designated areas for water and waste disposal. My pet Bunny is learning to socialize with people and other dogs.” Caretaker Suraj Deepak Bandwal mentions, “We see around 10 dogs on weekdays and 15 to 25 on weekends. Once the visitor numbers stabilize, we plan to open a dog cafe and implement a ticket system to maintain the park. Monthly passes will also be available for regular visitors.”

Dr. Smriti Sahu, a physiotherapist, shares her experience: “My dog Pumba has become more confident and sociable since we started visiting the park. We hope to see more dedicated spaces where pets can release their energy outdoors
