The Bengaluru Dog Adoption Drive brought hope to rescued dogs, with eight out of 40 dogs finding loving homes forever. The event was an opportunity to raise awareness about pet adoption and the need for people to give rescued animals a second chance rather than purchasing a pet.
The dogs were rescued from conditions of abandonment, neglect, and from the street. With appropriate medical treatment, vaccines, and rehabilitation, they were prepared for adoption by compassionate animal welfare volunteers.
A rescued dog can help others and the animal! Every successful adoption provides room for another animal to be rescued and a happy, secure life for the animal.
Bengaluru is seeing animal welfare groups hold more adoption drives with a view to getting more families to take the plunge for rescued animals. They also remind those who think about adopting a pet that this is a lifetime commitment.
Today was an incredibly successful adoption day, and this is evidence that one single adoption is enough to change the life of a dog forever. Because of our efforts, there will be lots more dogs that will be adopted into their forever homes.
Every dog should be loved by its family and should have a home! ❤️🐾
