Delhi Pet Fest Four-Legged Stars Shine

At Delhi’s Pet Festival, the red carpet wasn’t just for celebrities; it was all about the four-legged stars stealing the show. After a three-year hiatus, pet parents and their fashionable pets strutted their stuff at NSIC Okhla grounds.

The highlight? A fashion show where pets of all ages flaunted their best attire, vying for the title of the most stylish pet based on costume, demeanor, and grooming. For those seeking grooming tips, pet-grooming expert Andrea Cyrill Khurana offered interactive sessions on pet hygiene.

The festival wasn’t just about fashion; it showcased the talents of the Delhi Police dog squad, demonstrating their prowess in detecting explosives and combat. An agility ring added excitement, where pets navigated hurdles, tunnels, and weave poles.

Food stalls catered to both pets and their parents, rounding out the festivities. Started in 2014 by Akshaya Gupta and later joined by his wife Aashna Jain, the festival has grown exponentially, attracting over 20,000 visitors annually.

Gupta, although not a pet parent himself, sees the festival as a way to celebrate the pet community and indulge in their company. Spanning three acres, the festival ran from December 17-18, from 11 am to 9 pm.
