Dog owner clings to bonnet, believing her stolen pet is inside the car

A dramatic scene unfolded in downtown Los Angeles as a woman desperately clung to a moving car, her French bulldog stolen by four thieves. The incident occurred near W. 8th Street and S. Grand Avenue while the woman, identified as Ali Zacharias, was having lunch in front of Whole Foods.

In a bold attempt to stop the thieves, Zacharias latched onto the car tightly as it drove down the street, expressing her plea for them to seek help rather than resort to stealing her beloved dog, Onyx.

“I just wanna say, if you need help or something, you can just ask for it. You don’t have to go steal my dog, that’s my baby I can’t give that to you,” Zacharias passionately exclaimed.

Onyx, the stolen French bulldog, is easily identifiable with its white fur, black spots, and distinctive two different eye colors. The thieves were reported to be driving a white Kia Forte during the incident. The emotional encounter underscores the intense connection between pet owners and their cherished companions and raises questions about the motivations behind such brazen thefts. Law enforcement is actively involved in investigating the incident and the whereabouts of the stolen dog.
