PATNA: The Animal and Fisheries Resources Department will host a state-level dog show at Bihar Veterinary College’s sports complex on February 12. The event will showcase around 20 dog breeds, evaluated in five categories, including health, breed quality, and obedience. Winners will be honored with awards.
Mohammad Ali Shabbir, Director of the Animal Health and Production Institute-Bihar, announced that registration for the Patna state-level dog show is free. N Vijayalakshmi, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Bihar Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, will inaugurate the program.
The show aims to raise awareness about animal husbandry while providing dog lovers a platform to display their pets’ talents. Shabbar added that the event is designed not only for entertainment but also to promote animal welfare and health awareness. A large turnout of dog enthusiasts is expected.
