Established in January 2013, Charlies Animal Rescue Centre (CARE) serves as a dedicated animal shelter in Bangalore city, focusing on delivering prompt medical assistance to injured and unwell street animals. Our primary objective is to offer life-saving veterinary care comparable to private setups, extending aid to all animals regardless of their ownership status.

CARE operates a rescue helpline, animal ambulance services, and a well-equipped veterinary trauma care unit. With the core principle of “No animal left behind,” we are committed to ensuring the well-being of every creature in need. Our mission at CARE involves providing dignity to animals facing challenges such as old age, blindness, paralysis, and chronic diseases, allowing them to lead peaceful lives within the shelter.

At CARE, we have opened our doors to a diverse range of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, hens, pigs, guinea pigs, birds, and terrapins. In addition to rescue and shelter services, CARE actively facilitates adoptions, conducts humane education programs in schools, engages in animal cruelty prevention and control initiatives, and offers volunteering opportunities.
