Established in October 1991 by Ms. Crystal Rogers, an inspirational 85-year-old animal activist, along with two passionate animal lovers, Ms. Suparna Ganguly and Dr. Shiela Rao, CUPA (Compassion Unlimited Plus Action) has evolved into one of the nation’s most enduring animal welfare organizations, marking its 31st year. With a presence in Bangalore, CUPA manages seven centers dedicated to diverse causes:

1.  The Trauma & Rescue Centre provides complimentary medical care for community animals in need.
2. The Geriatric Centre serves as a permanent retirement home for dogs aged 60 and above, particularly those who are blind or seniors.
3. The Large Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre (LARRC) focuses on rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned, sick, and injured large working animals.
4. The Sarjapur Spay & Neuter Centre is dedicated to sterilizing dogs residing outside BBMP Limits.
5. The Second Chance Adoption Centre actively works towards finding new, loving homes for abandoned pets.
6. The Community Cat Sterilisation Facility concentrates on the essential sterilization of community cats.

The Small Animal Specialty Hospital offers state-of-the-art pet care and grooming, with funds generated redirected to support CUPA’s ongoing rescue efforts and rehabilitation shelters. With a rich history and a commitment to animal welfare, CUPA continues to make a significant impact in Bangalore and beyond.
