VOSD operates the world’s largest ecosystem dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong care of dogs, along with the services essential to its operation, known as the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital. Situated near Bangalore, India, this sanctuary provides a lifelong haven for hundreds of rescued dogs, ensuring their well-being with food, shelter, and care. Dogs from over 30 cities across India are brought here via road, train, and flight.

Established in 2013, VOSD is a registered 12A / 80G Trust that extends its support to dogs throughout India.

The VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital is distinct from a traditional ‘shelter.’ We do not facilitate adoptions for our resident dogs; instead, they find a permanent home at VOSD. Each dog is given a name and treated as a cherished member of our community.
